Matt received a B.S. in Business Management from Southern Illinois University in 1997. Upon graduation, Matt and his wife (Kathleen) relocated to Central Florida where Kathleen began a long career in education. Although he worked the last 2 years in college loading UPS trucks from 3AM to 8AM before going off to school, Matt’s first full-time job was in retail management in Orlando. After 5 years, he switched to the hospitality industry, specifically roles in resort management in operations, sales and marketing, and finally landing in the legal department. He has been working on the title side of this field for over 18 years and is a Licensed Title Agent in Florida, Missouri, and Tennessee. He is also a Florida Registered Paralegal with The Florida Bar. While Matt and Kathleen literally attended school together (in many of the same classrooms no less!) since they were 5, they started dating in high school. Recently, they celebrated their 26 th wedding anniversary by taking an “epic” trip to Hawaii. They have 3 adult children, a daughter Hannah (married to Noah), and 2 sons: Seth and Zachary. The other family member is a spirited 4-year-old Blue Weimaraner named Lucy. Much of Matt’s and Kathleen’s time away from work is spent engaged with family, friends, and church life. Two intertwined key aspects of life, Matt believes, are relationships and treating others the way you want to be treated. Communication is one of the most important aspects of relationships. That means making time and putting away distractions so that others know and feel that they are heard. Matt has frequently been told he is one of the easiest people to talk to that they have ever met.
